When those in charged are confused with no clear aims or goals where does that leave the rest of us?
David Cameron over the last year and more importantly over the last few months has sent out so many confusing messages regarding, Islam, Islamists, Muslims, IS and the British public that now when he speaks it is fast becoming a joke, the government are fast becoming a troupe of stand up comedians.
On the one hand he says:
"British people shouldn't be bashful about being British. A belief in freedom, tolerance of others, accepting personal and social responsibility, respecting and upholding the law".
And:
"That if you don't want to believe in democracy that's fine, that if equality is not your thing then don't worry about it, that if you are completely intolerant to others, we will still tolerate you".
Not long ago David Cameron said that "Rather than British Muslims embracing 'British Values' he said British people should embrace the 'Asian way of life'".
And:
"Not for the first time I found myself thinking that it is mainstream Britain which needs to integrate more with the British Asian way of life, not the other way round".
AND THEN:
"Integration is a two way street. We have to recognise that it won't happen unless there is something attractive to integrate to".

MORE CONFUSION:
14th June 2014 "Refusing to accept British laws and the British way of life is not an option"
11th Aug 2014 Cameron rejects recall of Parliament on the State of Iraq and IS threat
11th Aug 2014 Cameron calls on Islam to embrace democracy
17th Aug 2014 IS now pose threat to UK
17th Aug 2014 Cameron fears IS threat to Briton
29th Aug 2014 Terror threat level raised to SEVERE
JUST TO ADD TO THE CONFUSION:
Theresa May, the Home Secretary, said the decision was taken in light of increasing dangers posed by British Fanatics and other foreign fighters in Iraq and Syria.
With the IS rampaging, raping, murdering and enslaving its way around Syria and Iraq over the last twelve months with British Muslims joining there swelling ranks with upwards of 160,000 terrorists (larger than the British army), only now does the government realise the threat posed. Talk about being behind the curve.
Even though only a few weeks ago Cameron thought so little of the threat posed he did not recall government. In fact he only took nineteen hours off from his holiday after the James Foley video murder, to show a face and to show he was doing something. Out of touch? Quite possibly!
If government is confused, sends out the wrong messages, then Theresa May's "I would urge the public to remain vigilant' is a classic throwaway comment.
Is this what it boils to, a clueless government asking a confused public to 'Be Aware'?
In relation to world events impacting our society, the general public in the main are far more in touch with reality than those who lead us. The public know what is going on, know what must be done and get frustrated with leaders who choose to take the easy option, the appeasement option, appeasing everyone, friend and enemy like.
The public look to the government for protection.
As Theresa May said "The first and most important duty of government is the protection of the British people". She must have a book full of throwaway comments!
And this is where it all falls down, a blind shepherd leading its flock of SHEEPLE!
The sheeple either:
Don't want to get involved in their own protection.
Are to scared to get involved (for one reason or another).
Or have their heads buried in the sand hoping nothing will happen to them.
So in relation to what Theresa May said about being vigilant:
Do you notice when your wife has put fresh flowers on the table?
Do you notice when a female colleague has a new hair style.
Do you notice when a male colleague has a new suit?
My boss once asked me (talking about another bodyguard)
How can he protect me if he doesn't notice the little things that matter to me, how can I trust him not to notice the larger and more important things that may affect my security?
After the Boston Marathon bombing, this case was left abandoned close to the building where I am based (see photo below)
With a confused, aimless and appeasing orientated government, an unaware general public who looks to them for protection and who cannot or will not accept responsibility for their own personal security, the odds are not exactly in our favour.
How are we going to fare?
