All of our courses use cutting edge scenario and stress evaluation clinics, based on real time "contact" situations.
These courses are only open to close protection operatives.
The Lowest Threat Level
Before we can train to counter any threat we have to look at that threat and its variants closely so we can implement the correct responses.
The lowest threat level facing the CPO comes from the Nuisance Person, this is where your conflict management skill come into play. Are you competent in you conflict management skills when dealing with fans, beggars, reporters, paparazzi, drunks who may not only be a nuisance but also verbally abuse you or your Principal etc? If you respond to aggressively you may cause embarrassment to your Principal, and if you don't respond firmly enough then the nuisance person may carry on being a nuisance, again causing embarrassment to your client and in their eyes it may look like you cannot do your job. Hence no more job.
If you cannot deal with this lowest level of threat where there is no physical violence in use then you may not be able to deal with the following threat levels where ever increasing levels of violence ensue.
We do not teach conflict management as part of these courses as you, the professional bodyguard have already been trained in it on your basic CP course.

Friendly crowds pose there own problems and can turn not only hostile towards your Principal but can also be dangerous without seeming to be hostile as in the over zealous fans who stampede the barriers to get to their idol.

From riots and demonstrations, the environment provides a massive arsenal of weapons for those who want to use them against others. Not to mention thrown weapons made or collected, such as Molotov Cocktails, acid cans, blood bags and as you will see below, Grenades.
Below is Nigel Farage being assaulted and hit with an egg and Paris Hilton and Camilla Fayed being flour bombed. Both attacks embarrassed the Principals but could have also been life life threatening if more volatile substances were used.

MEDIUM RANGE GUN ATTACK
Medium range gun attack from 5 - 15ft. Targeted attacks but this time the attackers are not interested in who gets caught in the crossfire even though the range is not too great. Drive-by for fast getaway and the attackers have control of the situation.
Below are two Brazillian gang members conducting a targeted attack and a terrorist during the Westgate Mall attack.

Long range gun attack from 15ft - sniper range, tall buildings, open ground, line of sight, parked vehicles, your walking route etc
Long range means giving body cover and bugging out, but where to, where are the shots coming from, what are your tactical bounds going to be. Have you thought about this while you are conducting walking drills?
NOTE: Not all sniper shots are from high buildings!

Every time you leave you residence and are walking or driving you are in effect 'Advancing to Ambush'.
Partial blocks, full blocks, block front, block rear, stationary cut-off or moving cut-off etc Will all be planned through surveillance and the knowledge of the routes you take.
Pre-planning and training in anti-ambush techniques to include single vehicle and lead car plus back up vehicle should be done as your Principal will spend a lot of time in the car.
Kidnap targets and other at risk individuals should train in single car anti-ambush techniques.
Below left, a targeted attack, vehicle blocks front and the car and occupants attacked by an armed gang.
